HIKING IN MANI
Hiking in Mani could also be described as a life-time experience. Mani has a huge network of trails. Some are paved, some are not. Some are in excellent condition while others are maintained to a lesser extent. Crossing the peninsula the paths were of great importance. In Mani, they were the only connection between the isolated settlements of the area. They served the daily life of the local society for centuries. These paths have now given way to a modern road network and their role has changed. But their value remains the same, or has perhaps become even greater.
Porto Kale guesthouse, wishing to contribute to the development of hiking in Mani as well as to help the visitor, offers a map that accurately depicts all known and hidden trails.
